Logistics

Cold-chain integrity

Cashew kernels are sensitive to heat and moisture. Our cold-chain programme keeps product temperature and humidity within safe ranges from Bondoukou storage to the European distribution hub.

Temperature-controlled journey

Factory cool storage

Vacuum-packed kernels are held in conditioned warehouses in Bondoukou until dispatch, with temperature and humidity loggers.

Conditioned containers

Exports move in ventilated, humidity-controlled containers that protect against condensation and heat spikes during ocean transit.

Zaragoza hub

At PLAZA, Zaragoza, product is transferred to climate-controlled storage before final distribution to roasters and distributors.

Continuous monitoring

Data loggers record conditions throughout transit, with alerts for any deviation from set parameters.

Why it matters

Maintaining kernel temperature and humidity preserves the ivory-white colour, crisp texture and mild flavour that define premium cashew. It also prevents rancidity, mould growth and quality claims — protecting both the customer and the Lhacienda reputation.
